See Matthew 18:15-20 when 2 or 3 agree in Christ (or by conscience) on anything that touches the earth it is done by the Father in Heaven; whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven (binding agreement) whatever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven (forgiven and let go)

2. As for logs, beams, and splinters in our eyes
Yes, all people have a bias in our perceptions; and when we mutually recognize that we are responsible for our OWN bias, we can better set an example for our neighbor to recognize the same. Both Sapphire and Otto have biases for or against this person, and biases toward theistic or nontheistic views. So the same concept applies to both sides equally.

They can either continue to point out the bias in the "other person's view" or recognize their own and consider this to be an equal conflict that both are contributing to. The key is forgiveness, the more we can forgive, the LESS these biases need block the process of communication to reach agreement on key points. If we get hung up projecting blame for where the logs, beams or splinters are coming from, we obstruct the process of removal on both sides.

If we can at least recognize we are all responsible for our respective biases, if we can forgive those equally, they can be set aside even though we will always have them. It doesn't make our biases go away, but keeps them in check.

If we cannot forgive our differences, then we will stay stuck, with beams we can see in each other's eyes, staring and pointing at each other, as if that does any good. We have a choice how to proceed from here, to cut and run or let it go, and try to see beyond this and focus on points we agree are worth correcting.

Maybe when Jesus returns (the second time) then that is the time of the Messiah, so his first coming was not. And yes liberation of all humanity will be a political event as well.

The Muslims believe that Mohammad was the final prophet, and there will be the second coming or "rapture" if you want to call it that. So they also believe in Jesus' return, and that is the final culmination that the prophecies point to.

Many people are saying all this mess with Obama and putting America at the edge or risk of complete failure is the darkest hour right before the dawn. So we'll see what all this war and collapse of the false economy will give birth to.

It is a statistical term. 5 standard deviations is generally considered fact.

1 standard deviation = 68.27%
2 standard deviations = 95.45%
3 standard deviations = 99.73%
