Working in the same business alongside my father full time for 33+ years before he died isn't "just inheriting" it, dummy. My father gave me a place to learn, work, and a great reputation to live up to. For that I gave him thanks every day. In his declining years and up to his death eight years ago I have never forgotten what he taught me. But as far as this business in its present state; I can actually say that we built this business along with our employees. In a real business nothing stays the same and the changes we made before and after his death have kept this business alive and prosperous over the last 8 years of the most difficult circumstances ever. We now do five times the business we were doing when he died and still have absolutely no long term debt. So, you (and NOLA) can take your self-pitying comments about my "inherited" business and stuff them. Success breeds success. Maybe you should breed some of your own.

Please believe me when I say that I've seen and heard that clip hundreds of times. The woman screaming about the Obama Phones did that in Cleveland and it has been played probable a thousand times here.

Fuck what any media outlet says about the Obama phone thing. The original purpose of a government phone being furnished to households is to assure that they would be able to communicate in an emergency situation such as medical or even a fire. There is one phone furnished per household and as I understand it the phone is loaded with 200 free minutes per month. That should be enough to schedule Doctor appointments as well as be available for the occasional emergency.

In reality, what should have been furnished is a cell phone with a charger without the 200 free minutes because any cell phone will operate to call 911 FREE. That should handle any real emergency.

My married 51 year old niece lives together with her husband and her 49 year old brother. Her husband is collecting SSI and hasn't worked for the past 4 years. He is diabetic and considered to be legally blind as a result of the diabetes being untreated during the years that he used cocaine and meth. I'll admit that he is a medical mess today and is incapable of holding down any serious job but I also know that he chose to go down a path of self destruction. For about two years prior to being approved for SSI he received medical treatment from a free clinic and through their referrals, he has had several surgeries performed by the Cleveland Clinic in an attempt to save his sight. He's no longer taking illegal drugs but is now being helped through his trying days with free prescription drugs.

About 10 years ago my niece managed a gas station until that she was fired from because her drug use became more important than her job. She has not held a legitimate job since. She lives about 200 yards away from a gas station that frequently has a help wanted sign in the window. She says she can't do that because they would loose their free utilities. Go figure

Her brother is physically capable of working but can't or more accurately won't do that because he would loose his food stamps. He hasn't held a legitimate job for over 10 years. He drinks a couple of 40s a day and sleeps till noon, watches TV powered by free electricity furnished by a program giving free utilities to those less fortunate among us that are in need. Every Tuesday he and his sister go to 5 different free food distribution charities and load up everything they can get their hands on. They have two freezers full of mostly meat, all of which was free. The reason he works so hard at that is that he needs the food stamps to buy his beer.

All three of them hustle extra money when they can but it is all has to be under the table. They live in a rented house owned by her aunt and they are about 18 months behind in their rent. Her aunt say she knows that she is an enabler but she can't throw her sisters kid out in the street. How do I know all of this?? That niece's aunt is my wife.

To get back to the point, they have 4 Obama phones even though there should only be one per household. When I asked the question how hell they could get 4 phones. The answer was that different Obama phone suppliers, somehow, get their names from the welfare rolls contact them and offer them to them so, they just take them. She said they don't ask if they already have a phone and so she doesn't tell them because she's not that stupid. She is right about that. The stupid people are you and me because we're paying for it.

This program cost $1.5 Billion dollars in 2011 and there are estimates that the cost in 2012 will be around $2.1 Billion dollars. Those costs have increased from about $775 Million dollars in 2008.

I understand the way the program is funded and I also know that the program is federally mandated and it doesn't matter who started it. It was undoubtedly a good plan when it started but has been expanded so much in the past few years that it is completely out of control today. We can't change history buy we should be able to change today and tomorrow.

Some will say that the phones are not really Obama Phones but Obama hasn't done anything to reign in rapid increase of the abuse nor has he told the recipients that they aren't "Obama Phones". Trust me, Obama knows what an Obama phone is and loves what they have done for him. More importantly, the people that have the phones "BELIEVE" that they are Obama Phones and they "BELIEVE" that they voted in November to keep their phones. As has been shown by your own reference, regardless of what may or may not be true, it is painfully obvious that that woman screaming about her Obama Phone truly believed that Obama gave her that phone. When ignorance is in play the perception becomes the reality and when viewing your reference video, that perception can't be denied. Forget the racial aspect because my niece is not black but she, her husband and brother all bought into that perception when they voted.

Obama bought the election pure and simple by pandering to the middle class and lower, by giving entitlements to people that already have a "victim mentality," by promising reform and non-enforcement of the law to people that live an alternate life-style, and by lying to women over several stupid Republican missteps. Even he didn't actually start the phone giveaway he and his minions took credit for it and expanded the program beyond all reason and cost.

Now, he still campaigning and refusing to negotiate in good faith. And he will probably take that $4 million dollar vacation when he should be working on avoiding the fiscal cliff. He has already started blaming others for his own lack of leadership. What a maroon.
