I am a story producer for a television production house. We produce series for major network channels. Currently we are developing two new series about people with compulsions and obsessions. We are looking for participants who would be willing to tell their story on television.
Example: I love doing web cam. My 'friend' thinks I"m crazy and that it might be dangerous. I'm not willing to stop.
Example: I love taking on dangerous situations because it makes me feel alive.
My family:friends think I'm crazy and want me to stop.
Example: I want to be famous and I'll do anything to make that happen.
Example: I live a secret life that no one knows about

I'm in the throes of completing a book that covers topics like the ones you mention. But there's one thing I've learned from all of my research/interviews/actual experiences: People are on the Down Low for a reason. Most of them have lives they want to preserve, which forces them to "split" into two separate and distinct people.

I do like the direction of your project, though, and wish you luck in finding quality candidates who don't live under bridges. Many have careers, wives, kids and country club memberships...among other things...which is the real hook, as you know.

Who would risk so much for what appears to be so little?

Clarify what you mean by "limiting"? Do you have something in mind?

Anyway, I don't think you can change it without moderator help.

Yea, I figured that. For many, many months I was having trouble logging on to Backpage. So one day, exasperated, I just picked a username off the top of my head and - lo and behold - I got on.

The username is "limiting" in the sense that I am unable to post to the sex/obits section without being labelled "gay," which means I can't respond to posts without being pigeonholed. I'm hardly ashamed of my sexuality, but would like something more neutral, like Kenny55 for example.

I really don't think that would be a problem, but then hey....that's me!

If you do end up changing your moniker, you have to keep that avatar. It's so suave in a Cary Grantish/James Bondish kind of way. Besides, that way people would still know it's you.
