The answer is All people are saved.

For him, "saved" is the knowledge that one day he will be free from all the insanity of this world.

For others, it is the release from the wheel of life.

For Sappy, it is the belief that she will be the only one allowed in heaven, not realizing that she has created the worst of hells already here on Earth.

For a lot of Christians and Muslims it is living an Earth-style existence without having to work, exercise, and all that "fun" stuff.

And then again, since everything is an illusion--and we thoroughly enjoy this illusion and wish to continue it--being "saved" becomes an illusion as well.

I hope that one day I will lose the addiction to this stupid video game I'm playing and move on to something a hell of a lot more worthwhile.

There is no way for you to logically prove that it does not have a true purpose to your life. It may be to improve your hand eye coordination for some greater purpose in the future or may be to allow your mind to understand the importance of video game entertainment to the future of this planet and be further advanced at video games in the future when they become more profoundly important.

There is no purpose to life. There is purpose, however, in the fleeting moments of the present. After those moments have passed, they are gone, lost forever. They never happened.

Humans are so bent on either forward thinking (the future) or backward thinking (reliving the past) that they do not live life at all.

Who really cares about building spaceships to Mars? For what purpose? So we'll have another name to memorize in school? How will polluting Mars with disgusting human excrement improve the solitary lives of individuals?

Who really cares about wiping out poverty? or slavery? Even Christ shr***ed off the situation. Such realities of life are inevitable. The big bands that wave banners of support to wipe out all the evils of this planet and create a utopia are coverups for personal grandizement and more names for school children to memorize.

Who really cares about casual encounter on the street where a smile or a frown can change the other person's day? This fleeting moment of such greater importance than all the grand-standing of major campaigns to fix the ills of the world.

This video game of life has been plastered with false advertisements and empty promises. It has been adulterated with ideas and concepts that go beyond the pale, trumped up with grandiose ideals of nobility and purpose, decorated with promises and fulfillments impossible to attain.

It's Sims 3 on steroids. Neverending. No victory. No purpose other than to waste thousands of hours on selfish gratification.

Isn't human nature/conscience geared to RESPOND to
basic "binary" logic, 0 or 1,
that choice X gives more NEGATIVE associations (fear, pain, suffering, discomfort, stress, anxiety) vs. choice Y giving more POSITIVE associations
(peace, satisfaction, SECURITY, freedom, love, hope) etc.

And people will emotionally or logically sort through the signals
and if X>Y or if Y>X then they will go for this or that.

And yes, the logic behind some of the emotional or spiritual choices
does get all mixed up, but it's basically yes or no, true or false,
this or that, based on what the conscience and PERCEPTION weighs as + or -.

the more at peace we are with the past, the more balanced our perception of the future so we focus on where these meet in the present.

Wallis it is when our perceptions of the past are SKEWED by negative
unresolved issues that this SKEWS our perceptions of the future.
the same lens we use to look at the past we use to look at the present and future. so the more we clear off that lens, we can see all things clearly
and be at peace at all times even when there could be chaos externally.

is like asking can
"anyone truly be at peace"
yes and no
there is always conflict and suffering in the world
and we will sense that suffering when we perceive it
but we can be relatively at peace by UNDERSTANDING
why it is happening and the positive process and outcomes in the works.
we will not be at peace if we don't understand
but reject out of fear of change or stress.

the more we can forgive the things that bother us
the less they will bother us
and we can see more clearly,
be more effective and less bothered by what doesn't work out yet

ie how close our "perception of truth"
is to what is "unconditionally true" aside from perceptions which may change
