So the result is that it was a good date. Met at a local eatery, after way too many e-mails and liked what we saw. We went to a local motel and really had a great time and parted ways. She was a couple of years my junior and very attractive, actually. when you consider how close we live to each other, it's kind of surprising our paths have never crossed. This is a very small state.

Sad thing is that I've discovered I have this issue with guilt that I have to overcome. Was it money well-spent? Absolutely. would I do it again? Not so sure. Damn this thing called a conscience.

Geeling guilty is normal if you really love her. With that being said, how do you feel about the links to porn sites you have on your profile?

Well Rich, my luck on AM was not so good. When I first signed up, I had a few women contact me right away. I thought, 'great, this is gonna be easy to find a hook-up, but after I spent most of my credits messaging them, they stopped communicating or their profiles went missing. So I antied up another round of credits because AM sent me a 'special offer'. I then went a long spell without a bite, so I spent that last of my credits contacting a bunch of ladies to see what I could stir up. Most would never follow through with more than a msg or two or have changed their minds. One woman that was incredibly hot and that lived very close to me sent me a msg talking about all the things she wanted to do then out of the blue decided to get back together with an old bf. Then I replied to a younger woman whose profile suddenly could no longer be found which wasted the last of my credits. So as soon as I ran out of credits, I start getting lots of msgs from more women- fishy to say the least. So I gave up on AM. Plus I was always concerned about finding some woman that would become a stalker that could ruin things for me at home. That's why I have stuck to seeing only 2 regular escorts. It guarantees I'm gonna have fun, no chance of stalker issues, always use a cover so std's are not an issue nor is pregnancy, and in the long run is much cheaper.

Since half of them are my sites and the other half are ones I use or have used, not bad, at all. However, she hates them. In fact, she hates that I hang around here.

The down-side of sites like AM is that you're dealing with people who are, fundamentally, engaging in shady activities (Oh, hell! Let's call it dishonest), in the first place. So ther is obviously some risk involved. As with any dating site, YMMV, I guess. This took a wile to make happen, but it did happen. I've never had the guts to try an escort, but I can certainly see the value there. A real pro is not going to stalk you, because she's going to be busy enough to not need to stalk you.

Having said all this, I know people who do very well (sexually) with main-stream dating sites, like Match.com, and I know others who have found themselves hooking up with escorts through POF. My experience was successful, with a big caveat. That's all.

I really have a lot of questions. I have found this whole post to be very interesting but has also made me think. Here just a few.

So what ever the reason we cheat at some point is not the issue. What interests me is with whom.

Can anyone give me insight to the difference of a hookup or just hiring a professional?

I would think that a hookup if it becomes regular could go very wrong. Stalking, blackmail, treat of exposure.

Whereas a professional knows exactly what the end result is. Is there strictly for your pleasure. Could also become a regular if you feel your both a good match.

Would love to know...........

I think there is just a stigma to hiring a professional. I agree that, in theory, a professional makes mores sense. On the flip-side, if you pick the wrong "escort," you can end up in jail, with your reputation ruined. Affairs aren't illegal.
